How to Use LinkedIn Creator Mode to Win More Customers

LinkedIn is a powerful social media platform for social selling. In recent months, LinkedIn has added features that make it an even more valuable tool for business owners and professionals. “Creator Mode” might just be the key to building your business and becoming recognised as an authority in your space.

What is LinkedIn creator mode and how can it help me grow my business?

LinkedIn creator mode is a profile setting on your LinkedIn profile that can help you grow your reach and influence on LinkedIn.

With creator mode, you get access to additional tools and features that help you produce high-quality content and reach more people. Creator mode also allows you to see real-time analytics on your posts, so you can track engagement and reach.

What Happens When You Switch On Creator Mode?

When you switch on creator mode the changes to your profile include:

  • The Connect button on your profile will change to Follow.
  • LinkedIn will display the number of followers you have in your profile introduction.
  • You can display the topics you post about in your profile introduction as hashtags. This will make it easier for other LinkedIn members to discover your content and follow you. It follows that your content is more discoverable by the LinkedIn algorithm.
  • LinkedIn will highlight your original content on your profile by moving your Featured and Activity sections to be first on your profile
  • You become eligible to be as a suggested creator to follow so potential followers will discover you and your content across LinkedIn.
  • You get access to creator tools such as LinkedIn Live Video and LinkedIn Newsletter if you meet the access criteria. 

Your Linkedin Profile Equals Your Sales Funnel

The most important addition when it comes to creator mode is the additional focus on the featured section.

Now with creator mode, this important part of your profile will be right up at top for easy access!

Think of the featured section as your "sales funnel".  

The featured section on your profile is where you can showcase content that will turn heads and get people interested in what's going on with YOUR business. You can showcase content that will move your ideal LinkedIn prospects through your sales funnel.  It might be that you sell courses, point to them from this section. It might be that you are building your email list, you can put an image and caption asking people to subscribe to your weekly newsletter. Either way, the featured section is a powerful lead generation tool!
